The friends on this page have made the journey to the Rainbow Bridge after giving us, their people, beautiful and unconditional love for the too short time they were with us.  All on this page are sadly missed but also deep in our memories are the good times we shared together.

Buttercup

Buttercup enjoying the sun at age 9 taken about a week before he died on November 13, 2011. Buttercup was the sweetest great dane in the world and I want to thank my friends for their help with his food and care before he died after being abandoned by the one he gave unconditional love to for so many years.

The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is his dog... He will kiss that hand that has no food to offer; he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounters with the roughness of the world...When all other friends desert, he remains."

"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you; that is the principal difference between a dog and a man." ~Mark Twain
